Luxury vacation rentals on the Outer Banks Islands are available. Naturally, luxury is subjective, but many accommodations meet this writer’s idea of luxury. The top floor of a condominium building is often the largest accommodation in that building and offers amenities that other floors may not; hot tubs, extensive balconies, and beautiful views. An Oceanside house with room for all of your family, each with their own room, a hot tub, internet access, cable TV, a bar-b-queue area, and a swimming pool, possibly with a cleaning service, would definitely a luxury vacation rental. A Sound side home with all of the above plus a dock, and a boat for your use would also qualify.
All of these scenarios are available on the Outer Banks; you must just realize that each amenity raises the price of the luxury Outer Banks vacation rental. Luxury rentals such as these generally start at $5000 per week and prices go up from there. High season for tourists is more expensive than an off- season rental. The longer you stay, the less per day, you will have to pay. Realtors are most often the best source for these types of rentals.
